This is the fourth game in the king fighters series.
It is ported to neo-geo cds, and playstation and sega saturnian in japan only.
Who saturnian requires same 1mb ram a cartridge used by the game before.
Advance mode is based on the previous games in the series, the Immortals
'96, but has a revamped power gauge. Not charging Gauge, measure the
strength now filled whenever the player strikes an opponent or by
performing special moves.
The player can stock up to three power gauges.
The player can use one stock power gauge to perform Super special moves
or enter a 'MAX' mode, where the player is defensive and offensive
strength is increasing. Do special Super moves, when in MAX mode will
make the Player performs a Super special moves stronger.
Extra mode is based on the first two games in the series, the Immortals '
94 and ' 95 Immortal. As in the game, players fill the measure of the
power of menstruation or to defend against attacks of the opponent.
Once
the measure is full, the player enters MAX mode and as before, the
character of their offense and defense will increase. The player can
only perform Super special moves in MAX mode or when life is near empty
and flashing red.
When a Player performs a Super mode in MAX mode while
the life gauge flashes red, then it will be more powerful Super moves.
Emergency Roll maneuver of Immortal '96 used in Advance mode is
replaced by side-step of Immortal '94 and '95 Immortal.

The King of Fighters 97 Characters
Though the incident at the end of the previous game, the tournament is a big commercial success and Immortal spark fighting craze all over the world. Within a few months of the tournament ended, many large corporations have been held in smaller qualifying tournaments of the immortals and Immortals Stadiums built specifically around the world, building excitement for the next tournament.
Tournament news spreads through any form of media and fans and new fighters from all over the world come to watch the match early.
All the characters from the previous game return, with the exception of
the boss team (which was disbanded after its first appearance), Kasumi
Todoh (who went to look for her father), and mature and Vice (who was
killed by Iori Yagami after he was possessed by the riot of blood in the
conclusions from the previous game).

Chizuru Kagura, sub-boss in previous games, taking place in the women
fighters team is Kasumi's, while geese Howard subordinate Billy Kane,
who previously participated in the King of fighters 95 tournament,
returning to join the female agent blue Mary and Ryuji Yamazaki to be
found (both from Fatal Fury 3) form may be 'special' team ' 97. Iori

revealed to be the last three servants from Orochi during the Arcade
mode.
In addition, they fight as the boss character sub-has enhanced the
ability of their general shape. After they were defeated, Orochi Chris
will have to fight the body as the final boss character.

Releases Games The King of Fighters 97
The King of fighters '97 was released first in Japan arcades in July
1997. It was ported to the Neo Geo and Neo-Geo CD on September 25, 1997
and October 30, 1997, respectively. The PlayStation version was also
released on May 28, 1998. The Sega Saturn version was published on 26
March 1998 and requires the same 1 MB RAM cartridge used by the previous
game.
