Games Plants vs. Zombies director George Fan intended on balancing the game between a "gritty" game and a "sickeningly cute" game. Strong strategic elements were included to appeal to more experienced gamers, while keeping it simple to appeal to casual gamers, without many tutorials.
He was inspired to make it a tower defense game after both thinking of a more defense-oriented version of a previous title of his, Insaniquarium, and playing some Warcraft III tower defense mods.
While she was looking at the Tower in Warcraft III, he felt that the
plant would make good towers. He wanted to bring something new to the
genre with plants vs. Zombies, and he found a common Tower Defense game
elements such as amazing and juggling becomes too stiff, causing
her to use the 5 and 5 lane set-up used in the final version. The
game was initially going to be called Weedlings, but as the Tower
Defense concept took off and the game's overall personality evolved, the
title was later replaced.
Plants vs. Zombies is a tower defense action video game developed and originally published by PopCap Games for Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X. The game involves a homeowner using many varieties of plants to repel an army of zombies from "eating their brains".
It was first released on May 5, 2009, and made available on Steam on the same day. A version for iOS was released in February 2010, and an HD version for the iPad. An extended Xbox Live Arcade version introducing new gameplay modes and features was released on September 8, 2010.
PopCap released a Nintendo DS version on January 18, 2011 with content unique to the platform. The PlayStation 3 version was released in February 2011 also with added new co op and versus modes found in the Xbox 360 version. An Android version of the game, exclusive to the Amazon Android App Store, was released on May 31, 2011.
On February 16, 2012, a version was released for BlackBerry PlayBook. Later a BlackBerry smartphone version of the game was released on January 2013 following the launch of BlackBerry 10.
Review Games Plants vs Zombies
Plants vs Zombies, players place different types of plants and fungi,
each with the capability of offensive or defensive of their own unique,
around the House to stop the hordes of zombies eat brains. The field is
divided into a number of horizontal lines, and with rare exceptions, the
zombie will only move in the direction of home players along a line
(the major exception is if it had taken a bite out of garlic). Most
plants can just attack or defend against zombies on line they are grown
in. At the next level, the player can purchase upgrades to adjust their
lawn mower new environments such as swimming pools or the roof.
The game uses several types of levels and layouts. The game begins on
the front page, and progress to the evening, where the gameplay more
challenging, with the Sun not fill unless the specific plants used,
backyards, visited added, and the level of the late night pool level
(where the mist filling the right half of the screen except when
specific plant used), the level of thunderstorm in pitch black (except
when illuminated by occasional flashes of Lightning), and roof levels
(at the end of the level, the player must face a huge robot operated by
zombies known as Dr. Zomboss).
Sometimes going through the game, the player is warned by mail by zombies or intended by crazy dave to prepare themselves for an ambush, in which the game took on a style, bowling using wall-nuts to the bowl down zombies, or a modified version of the regular, the rate at which random crop came up to a small selection, and the player can use the plant without spending a Sun.
Players start with a set of package seeds and seed pack slots that they
can use for most levels. The number of slots can be enhanced through the
purchase with in-game money. At the beginning of the level, the player
shows different types of zombies is expected and given the opportunity
to select a seed package to consider level.
Some plants are nocturnal,
like mushrooms, Sun has a lower cost, and is ideal for night-time
levels. The plant is very effective against certain types of zombies,
like a Magnet-shroom, which can remove the metal items of the zombies,
like helmet, buckets, ladders, and pogosticks.
The zombies also come in several types that have different attributes,
in particular, speed, damage tolerance, and ability. Emergency supplies,
including wearing Zombie, people who were able to jump or fly over the
plant and zombie dance that has a different design depending on the
version that can summon other zombies off the ground. At various points
the player will be flooded with waves of zombies.

The primary game mode is a single-player, multi-player and Adventure mode in which the player can earn money to spend at an in-game store to buy new seed packets and other bonuses.
The game also features extra modes that are unlocked as the player progresses through the main adventure. These include a survival game with hard or normal mode, a puzzle mode, and a selection of mini-games which include zombie-themed versions of other PopCap games like Bejeweled.

This game also has a Zen Garden, where players can care for the plants
they earn from success in the game. Shops in this game also brought
items that help with Zen Garden. Version of the PlayStation Network and
Xbox Live Arcade games includes five multiplayer modes, cooperative and

their accomplishments to friends.

The team wanted to bring back alien from Insaniquarium, but in the end
it turned into a zombie, which the player can react to more easily
because of how slowly they moved. Fan favorite zombie is a pole vaulting
zombies, because of the excitement involved when a player meeting that
for the first time, using a particular instance in which a player tries
to block it with Wall-nuts, only to have it jump over zombies.
